Towards One Planet Living in Sutton

This site is about creating a Sustainability Action Plan for Sutton.

If everyone in the world lived as we do in Sutton we would need three planets to support us. Therefore we need to reduce our impact - our Ecological Footprint - by two thirds to a sustainable and globally equitable level. We call this One Planet Living®.

One Planet Living in Sutton is working with residents and businesses in the London Borough of Sutton to find ways of reducing our ecological footprint by 65% while strengthening our community and improving our quality of life. This is a hugely ambitious project but together we can make it happen.

Switch to a green energy supplier

Ultimately we want to generate 100% renewable energy in Sutton. But until that happens it's a good idea to buy electricity from a 'green' tariff. For every home or business that switch to Good Energy 100% renewable electricity through this link, they will donate £20 to One Planet Living in Sutton. So if 1,000 of you make the switch we'd have £20,000 to spend on local projects!
